Term is until September 2025, then may be reappointed for the full 5 year term
Interested parties must
- Have knowledge of property values
- be at least 18 years old
- Be a citizen of the United States
- reside within the Town of Volney
- be willing to take and file an Oath of Office with the Town Clerk
- attend a training class provided by Oswego County before they can serve or rule on assessment complaints at Grievance hearing
Appointees will be reviewing evidence presented to determine if assessed value is correct or not and making a determination with the other board members
Grievance Day is held the fourth Tuesday of May
