 LEGAL NOTICE
Notice of Receipt of Tax Roll 2025 and Warrant

Notice that the Receiver of taxes in the Town of
Volney, County of Oswego, State of New York, Has received the Tax Roll and
Warrant for the year 2025. Bills can be viewed on our website at townofvolney.gov click the
departments tab then on Tax Collector

Taxes may be paid in any of the following ways: by mail to Volney Tax Collector
        1445 Co Rt 6, Fulton, NY 13069, drop box located on the front entry door or in person at Volney Municipal
Building during the hours listed below starting
January 2nd and ending March 31st, 2025
HOURS OF COLLECTION ARE Monday through Thursday 9am-3pm
CLOSED ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAYS
Collection at the Municipal Building will not occur on holidays or days when the
               office is closed per the Town Clerk. If weather seems bad please call ahead to confirm we are open at (315)593-8288 ext 105 or 109

A 1% penalty will be added as of February 1st and every month thereafter until
the return of the tax roll to Oswego County Treasures office. After April 20th taxes
are payable at the Oswego County Treasurers office,

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, pursuant to changes to the Proper Tax Law made in
1990, a notice will be sent to each taxpayer whose taxes have not been paid.
          Such notices will be sent on or before the 13th day of March, prior to the expiration of the Warrant, and will include an additional fee of $2.00 for the secondary notice. If the
first installment of the tax bill has been paid prior to March 13th, a secondary notice may not be sent.

Tax Payments:

2025 Property Tax Collection will begin January 2, 2025 from 9:00am-3:00pm 

Hours of collection will be Monday-Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm

Collection at the Municipal building will not occur on Holidays or days when the office is closed. If the weather is bad call the office in advance to confirm we are open.

Beginning April 1, 2025 you will need to contact the Oswego County Treasurer at 46 E Bridge St Oswego, NY 13126 or call them at (315) 349-8393.
